Announcing Public Preview of Query editor in Azure Monitor Metrics
Public Preview of Query editor in Azure Monitor Metrics is now Available! Get started with Query editor to access advanced querying capabilities within Azure Monitor Metrics. With the Query Editor's seamless integration of the widely adopted Prometheus Query Language (PromQL), customers can unlock advanced querying capabilities within their Azure Monitor Workspace. With PromQL, you can now efficiently analyze Prometheus metrics, identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resource utilization for better performance and reliability.

Operator and CRD support with Azure Managed Prometheus
Azure Monitor managed service for Prometheus will support CRD-based configs for scrape jobs to collect metrics from workloads running in your AKS cluster. With this new update, customers can use custom resources (service monitor and pod monitor) to configure metric collection with Managed Prometheus.

Sending a log search alert with cross tenant target resource will no longer be supported
As of March 15, 2024, this behavior will change and sending a log search alert with a cross tenant target resource (except for the lighthouse case) will no longer be supported. Alerts will not be sent to unauthorized target resources, and log search alert rules with an unauthorized target will be ignored. This will ensure that only authorized users can receive and investigate log search alerts.
