Pre-packaged script based solution to get application consistent snapshots for Oracle and MySQL DBs. Just provide connection information and workload name and leverage the instant restore benefit of Azure VM backups and minimize costs by selectively include/excluding relevant disks.
Public preview of Azure PostgreSQL backup with long term retention

Introducing Azure Backup Center

Azure Backup for SAP HANA databases running on RHEL is now generally available
On August 1, 2020, Azure Backups support for HANA databases running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) became generally available. This offering is available across all Azure regions except for Germany Northeast, Germany Central, France South, and US Gov IOWA.
Improvements to Azure VM backups are now available
Azure Backup now supports restoring unmanaged VMs/Disks as Managed Disks, backup for Virtual Machine Scale Sets, and allows replacing existing disks for VMs with Managed Service Identity

Azure Backup now supports selective disk backup and restore using Azure Virtual machine backup solution
Azure Backup now supports exclude-disk functionality where you get an option to backup one or a few from the many data disks in a VM. Each recovery point contains data of the disks included in the backup operation, which further allows you to have a subset of disks restored from the given recovery point during the restore operation. This provides an efficient and cost-effective solution for your backup and restore needs.
