JetStream Disaster Recovery for Azure VMware Solution now generally available
JetStream Disaster Recovery is now generally available on Azure VMware Solution, enabling DR protection for VMware based business applications. JetStream Disaster Recovery for Azure VMware Solution is also cost-effective, leveraging Azure Blob Storage to minimize resources at the DR site.
Azure VMware Solution is now generally available in Japan West Azure Region
Azure VMware Solution has expanded availability to Japan West. With this release Japan West is now the second region within the Japan sovereign area to become available (joining Japan East).

Zerto Disaster Recovery is now available and supported with Azure VMware Solution, delivering data protection and disaster recovery services that eliminate data loss and downtime for vSphere virtual machines running on Azure VMware Solution environment.
Azure NetApp Files Datastores for Azure VMware Solution is coming soon
Azure VMware Solution NFS datastores on Azure NetApp Files is currently in private preview and is coming soon. The solution provides more choice to optimize and scale storage for Azure VMware Solution environments.
HCX Enterprise Edition is now generally available for Azure VMware Solution
VMware HCX is the primary migration solution for organizations moving VMware workloads natively to a cloud service like Azure VMware Solution. The HCX Enterprise Edition, now generally available with Azure VMware Solution, is a premium HCX service that includes Replication Assisted vMotion and Mobility Optimized.

Azure VMware Solution has now expanded availability to Brazil South and East US 2, this update is in addition to the existing availability across multiple Azure regions in US, Europe, Australia, Japan, UK, Canada, and Southeast Asia.

With this certification, U.S. government and public sector customers can now use Azure VMware Solution as a compliant FedRAMP cloud computing environment, ensuring it meets the demanding standards for security and information protection.

JetStream Disaster Recovery on Azure VMware Solution is also cost-effective, as it uses minimal resources at the DR site by leveraging cloud storage, such as Azure Blob Storage.

Run Commands for Azure VMware Solution now in public preview
Run commands are a collection of PowerShell packages available in the Azure VMware Solution portal that simplify the execution of certain operations on vCenter. With this announcement your cloud administrator can now more easily run management tasks that require elevated privileges.
Placement polices now in public preview for Azure VMware Solution
Placement policies enable admins to specify constraints or rules when allocating Virtual Machines within an Azure VMware Solution private cloud. With this update the creation and assignment of vSphere Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS) rules for running Virtual Machines in an Azure VMware Solution SDDC has been simplified and is now executable directly from the Azure Portal for cloud admin roles.

VMware Site Recovery Manager is now generally available for Azure VMware Solution
Azure VMware Solution (AVS) customers are now be able to take advantage of VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM) for disaster recovery scenarios including; On-premise VMware to AVS, and Primary AVS to Secondary AVS private cloud environments.
Azure VMware Solution now generally available in the Canada East region
Azure VMware Solution has expanded availability to Canada East. With this release Canada East is now the second region within the Canadian sovereign area to become available (joining Canada Central).
Azure VMware Solution now generally available in the Australia Southeast region
Azure VMware Solution has expanded availability to Australia Southeast. With this release Australia Southeast is now the second region within the Australian sovereign area to become available (joining Australia East).
Disk pool for Azure VMware Solution now in public preview
With disk pool, Azure VMware Solution customers can now access Azure Disk Storage for high-performance, durable block storage. Customer can scale their storage independent of compute and handle their growing data needs more cost-effectively.

The new Azure VMware Solution has expanded availability to Southeast Asia (Singapore). This update is in addition to the existing availability in US East, US West, West Europe, Australia, Japan East, UK South, Canada Central, North US, and North Europe (Dublin) regions.
General availability: New Simplified NSX networking experience for Azure VMware Solution
Azure VMware Solution helps simplify migration to the cloud by running VMware environments natively on Azure. With the new simplified NSX networking experience, it is now easier for VMware administrators to execute networking operations for Azure VMware Solution from the Azure portal.
