Azure SQL Auditing to storage account behind Virtual Network and firewall now generally available
We have been listening to feedback around the need to store Azure SQL audit logs in a secure location, and are excited to announce today that writing database events via Azure SQL Auditing to an Azure storage account destination behind an Azure Virtual Network or firewall is now in general availability.
App Service is now an events publisher on Azure Event Grid (in preview)
App Service is now an events publisher with Event Grid, enabling developers to subscribe to events from their web apps or app service plans and act using Azure Functions, Logic Apps, webhooks, and other services. The feature is available for Windows and Linux apps in all public regions.
Private Link is now available on Event Grid
Azure Event Grid now has Private Link integration for custom topics and event domains generally available in all Azure regions
Azure Cache for Redis—Enterprise features coming soon
New features will soon be available for Azure Cache for Redis through a collaboration with Redis Labs.
Premium tier for Azure Data Lake Storage now in public preview
Azure Data Lake Storage has a new tier called Premium, offering significantly lower latencies, and cost savings for transaction heavy workloads.
Azure Site Recovery—Zone-to-zone disaster recovery now available
Azure Site Recovery zone-to-zone disaster recovery is now available in Southeast Asia and UK South.
Azure App Service and Azure Functions on Azure Stack Hub update available
The release of the latest update of Azure App Service and Azure Functions on Azure Stack Hub is now available.
SCOM management pack for Azure SQL Managed Instance is now available
SCOM management pack for SQL Managed Instance is now available in preview. Use it to build hybrid monitoring solutions for your on-premises and data center resources, along with monitoring SQL Managed Instances in the cloud.
Azure Virtual Network NAT now generally available in Azure Government and Azure China
Azure Virtual Network NAT (network address translation) simplifies outbound-only Internet connectivity for virtual networks and is now generally available in the Azure Government and Azure China regions. NAT can be configured for one or more subnets of a virtual network and provides on-demand connectivity for virtual machines.
Azure API Management update—May 2020
A regular Azure API Management service update was started on May 5, 2020, and included new features, bug fixes, and changes, along with other improvements.
Azure DevOps update to configure deployment strategies from the Azure portal
An update to Azure DevOps enables you to configure deployment strategies from directly within the Azure portal, and includes several improvements to the Azure Pipelines and Azure Repos user experiences.
Azure Blob storage—Blob Index now available in preview
Store multi-dimensional object attributes to describe your data objects for Azure Blob storage using Blob Index, now available in preview.
Select multiple resources in Azure Monitor Logs
Azure Monitor Logs now supports the selection of multiple resources of the same type across scopes.
Azure Monitor Logs—–Additional improvements made to tables side pane
The Azure Monitor Logs tables sidepane was improved with additional features and capabilities. including column descriptions and direct links to documentation.
View and navigate through changes across multiple resources
Newly updated Change Analysis UI now supports viewing changes for all resources under selected subscriptions. The at-scale view helps narrowing down the critical resources and changes to investigate regardless how the applications and resource groups are organized.
Private Link for Azure Database for MariaDB now in two US government regions
Azure Private Link support for Azure Database for MariaDB is now generally available in all public clouds. In addition, Private Link is now also available in two Azure government regions—US Gov Arizona and US Gov Virginia.
