The Log Analytics agent for Windows, sometimes known as the OMS Windows agent or Microsoft Monitoring agent, will begin to enforce SHA-2 signing on May 18, 2020. This change only requires action if you are running the agent on a legacy OS version (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, or Windows Server 2008).

Azure Monitor now supports distributed tracing, metric collection, and logging of Python applications through integration with OpenCensus.
Azure Monitor Application Insights is now generally available in the US Government Arizona region. Additionally, the Application Insights web availability monitoring capability is now available in the Azure Government Cloud regions.
Azure Backup has released a new and improved reporting solution in public preview. With Backup Reports, you can now gain rich insights on your backups by aggregating data across workload types, vaults, subscriptions, regions and tenants, all on the Azure portal.
