Csharp and Java SDKs for IoT Plug and Play are now in Preview


We have added two more SDK languages to the IoT Plug and Play public preview. You can now develop with the Azure IoT Csharp SDK and the Azure IoT Java SDK, in addition to Azure IoT SDK for Node.js and Azure IoT SDK for C.

IoT devices and applications to only use TLS 1.2 for communication with IoT Hub and DPS

To provide best-in-class encryption, IoT Hub and Device Provisioning Service are moving to Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.2 as the encryption mechanism of choice for IoT devices. As such, legacy support for TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 as well as several legacy ciphers will be deprecated in July 1st, 2020.

IoT Hub feature, service tags, is now generally available


With the general availability of IoT Hub service tags, customers can discover IoT Hub service endpoints’ IP addresses with ease.
