Visual tools added to Azure Data Factory

Published date: January 26, 2018

Visual tools for Azure Data Factory are now available.

On Sep 25, 2017, new capabilities were added to Azure Data Factory in preview. We added flexibility to the Data Factory app model and enabled control flow constructs that now facilitate looping, branching, conditional constructs, on-demand executions, and flexible scheduling in various programmatic interfaces like Python, .Net, Powershell, REST APIs, and ARM templates.

One of the consistent notes of customer feedback we received was to enable a rich, interactive, visual authoring and monitoring experience allowing users to create, configure, test, deploy, and monitor data integration pipelines without any friction. In response to your feedback, we are happy to announce the release of visual tools for Azure Data Factory that allow you to get pipelines up and running quickly without having to write a single line of code. Use a simple and intuitive code-free interface to drag and drop activities on a pipeline canvas, perform test runs, debug iteratively, and deploy and monitor your pipeline runs. With this release, we're also providing guided tours on how to use the enabled visual authoring and monitoring features, along with an ability to give us valuable feedback.
