Azure SQL Data Warehouse Gen2 is now available in Australia and France regions
Azure SQL Data warehouse is a fast, flexible, and secure analytics platform. The compute optimized Gen2 tier of Azure SQL Data Warehouse is now available in 23 regions. We recently made the service available in Australia Central, Australia Central 2, and France Central.

Long-term backup retention feature of Azure SQL Database now generally available
The long-term backup retention feature is available in all Azure regions and provides greater flexibility in setting your retention policies and managing individual backups. Backups also now use read-access geo-redundant storage (RA-GRS) storage, which provides an even higher degree of protection for your data.
Azure SQL Database supports auto-failover
Auto-failover groups are now generally available for Azure SQL Database, supporting transparent geographic failover of multiple databases with automatic activation.

Manage Azure Cosmos DB in Azure Storage Explorer
Using Azure Cosmos DB in Azure Storage Explorer allows users to manage Azure Cosmos DB entities, manipulate data, update stored procedures and triggers along with other Azure entities like Storage blobs and queues.
Azure Cognitive Search
Cognitive Search, a new preview feature in the existing Azure Search service, includes an enrichment pipeline allowing you to find rich structured information from documents. That information can then become part of your Azure Search index.
