Deploy a Virtual Machine with Custom Data

This template allows you to create a Virtual Machine with Custom Data passed down to the VM. This template also deploys a Storage Account, Virtual Network, Public IP addresses and a Network Interface.

Parameters

Parameter Name Description
dnsLabelPrefix Unique DNS Name for the Storage Account where the Virtual Machine's disks will be placed.
adminUsername User name for the Virtual Machine.
adminPassword Password for the Virtual Machine.
customData String passed down to the Virtual Machine.
vmSize VM size
ubuntuOSVersion The Ubuntu version for the VM. This will pick a fully patched image of this given Ubuntu version. Allowed values: 12.04.5-LTS, 14.04.2-LTS, 15.10.
