Azure Data Factory generally available

Azure Data Factory is a cloud-based data integration service that automates data movement and transformation. You can quickly create, deploy, schedule, and monitor data-flow pipelines with new tools and features, including a Visual Studio plug-in for authoring; integration with Azure Machine Learning and Azure Batch; enhanced Azure HDInsight integration with Apache HCatalog and on-demand cluster management; new data connectors for cloud and on-premises stores; and globally deployed data movement as a service.

Row-Level Security for Azure SQL Database generally available

Row-Level Security for Azure SQL Database is a programmable security feature customers can implement in databases for fine-grained access control over rows in a table. This helps customers determine which users can access what data. It also helps allow for more flexibility and data protection when multiple users or applications need access to different records in the same database tables. Row-Level Security can help organizations more easily meet their internal or industry compliance policies. Row-Level Security management takes place at the database level and can leverage familiar tools like SQL Server Management Studio or SQL Server Data Tools for setup and maintenance.

G-Series and GS-Series VMs available in multiple new regions

The G-Series, now available in the West Europe region, provides more memory and more local solid-state drive (SSD) storage than other Azure virtual machines (VMs). In addition, the G-Series delivers unparalleled computational performance using the Intel Xeon processor E5 v3 family, ideal for your most demanding applications. A G-Series variant, the GS-Series now supports Premium storage across the East US 2, West US, and West Europe regions. GS-Series VMs enable resource-intensive applications with the fastest processors, the most memory, and the highest Input/Output Operations Per Second (IOPS) storage disk performance compared to any other series.

Azure Premium Storage generally available in Japan East

Azure Premium Storage is an SSD-based storage solution designed to support I/O-intensive workloads. With Premium Storage, you can add up to 32 TB of persistent storage per VM, with more than 64,000 IOPS per VM and extremely low latencies for read operations. Offering a service-level agreement (SLA) for 99.9 percent availability, Premium Storage is now available in the Japan East region, as well as other regions previously announced.
