It is one of the most used entry points in the portal. We have made several improvements to this area to make it easier for you to find the resource that you are looking for!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"access-all-your-resources-in-a-single-list-all-resources-view\">Access all your resources in a single list (All resources view)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>All resources<\/strong> view shows a list of all the Azure resources (Web Apps, Virtual Machines, Redis Caches, etc.) that you own across all your subscriptions. We are currently working on making them available in that list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"filter-your-resources-by-subscription\">Filter your resources by subscription<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your lists of resources can be now filtered by subscription via a dropdown placed at the top of the Browse blade (the blade that displays the list of items that you own).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The subscriptions filter supports multiple selection, so you can see items from one or more subscriptions!<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Subscription-filtering1-636x359-1.webp\" alt=\"graphical user interface\" class=\"wp-image-9248 webp-format\" style=\"width:902px;height:auto\" data-orig-src=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Subscription-filtering1-636x359-1.webp\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The subscription filter is applied across <strong>all browse blades<\/strong> and remembered the next time you log into the portal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"filter-your-resources-by-name\">Filter your resources by name<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to filtering by subscription, you can type into the field next to the subscription filter to filter your resources by the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"wp-block-list-item\">Name<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"wp-block-list-item\">Resource group<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"wp-block-list-item\">Location<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Name-filtering-636x135-1.webp\" alt=\"graphical user interface, application\" class=\"wp-image-9250 webp-format\" style=\"width:1093px;height:auto\" data-orig-src=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Name-filtering-636x135-1.webp\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We will continue to expand the list of filterable fields in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"customize-the-columns-in-your-resources-list\">Customize the columns in your resources list<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can add new columns to your Browse blade using the <strong>Choose columns<\/strong> command. When this command is clicked an overlay panel with additional columns is displayed.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Choose-columns1-602x369-1.webp\" alt=\"graphical user interface\" class=\"wp-image-9252 webp-format\" style=\"width:1023px;height:auto\" data-orig-src=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Choose-columns1-602x369-1.webp\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The columns can also be ordered (the handle to re-order them shows when hovering on the left of the column).<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"arrow pointing to \"type\" on a menu\" src=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Move-columns-274x369-1.webp\" alt='arrow pointing to \"type\" on a menu' class=\"wp-image-9254 webp-format\" style=\"width:489px;height:auto\" data-orig-alt=\"arrow pointing to \"type\" on a menu\" src=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Move-columns-274x369-1.webp\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Note:<\/strong>&nbsp;by default we display&nbsp;a set of standard columns for all resources types. Soon we will add domain specific columns for each resource type.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"pin-your-resource-lists-to-the-startboard-for-quick-and-convenient-access\">Pin&nbsp;your resource lists to the Startboard for quick and convenient access<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pinning a browse blade results in a collection tile on the Startboard that provides direct access to individual resources and to the entire list. The default size for that tile is 2&#215;2. However, as you make it bigger more resources can be displayed!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To pin a browse list, just click on the <strong>Pin<\/strong> icon in the browse blade:<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Pin-browse-blades5-636x335-1.webp\" alt=\"graphical user interface\" class=\"wp-image-9256 webp-format\" style=\"width:936px;height:auto\" data-orig-src=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Pin-browse-blades5-636x335-1.webp\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:63px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Clicking on a item in the collection tile takes you directly to the resource; clicking on the tile takes you to the list of resources:<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Pinned-browse-part-460x369-1.webp\" alt=\"a screen shot of a computer\" class=\"wp-image-9258 webp-format\" style=\"width:708px;height:auto\" data-orig-src=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Pinned-browse-part-460x369-1.webp\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The image below shows different resource types pinned to the Startboard (Web Apps, Virtual Machines, Resource Groups, All Resources, and Storage Accounts) using a different tile size for each:<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Pinned-browse-tiles-in-startboard-636x323-1.webp\" alt=\"graphical user interface, application\" class=\"wp-image-9260 webp-format\" style=\"width:967px;height:auto\" data-orig-src=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Pinned-browse-tiles-in-startboard-636x323-1.webp\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Most recently used resources are displayed at the top of the list and the rest of the resources are sorted alphabetically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:82px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"more-control-over-the-recent-browse-list\">More control over the Recent browse list<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Items from the <strong>Recent<\/strong> list in Browse can be manually removed: hover over the item that you want to remove and a remove button will be displayed (as shown in image below).<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Remove-Recent-from-Browse-636x341-1.webp\" alt=\"graphical user interface, application\" class=\"wp-image-9262 webp-format\" style=\"width:1136px;height:auto\" data-orig-src=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Remove-Recent-from-Browse-636x341-1.webp\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"improved-portal-interactions\">Improved portal interactions<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"new-keyboard-shortcuts\">New keyboard shortcuts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In February we introduced a <a href=\"https:\/\/jj09.net\/hidden-feature-of-the-azure-portal-keyboard-shortcuts\/\">set of keyboard shortcuts<\/a>. Over the past few weeks we have been improving these shortcuts and how they work in the portal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you want to know what keyboard shortcuts we support press \u2018<strong>?\u2019<\/strong> (question mark key) and&nbsp; a panel with all available shortcuts will be displayed. To dismiss the panel press the ESC key.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Keyboard-shortcuts2-512x369-1.webp\" alt=\"graphical user interface, application\" class=\"wp-image-9264 webp-format\" style=\"width:776px;height:auto\" data-orig-src=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Keyboard-shortcuts2-512x369-1.webp\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"recover-tiles-from-error-state\">Recover tiles from error state<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If a tile can&#8217;t be rendered we now offer a <strong>Click to reload <\/strong>action in the tile so you can refresh that individual tile without having to reload the entire portal.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Refresh-failed-tiles2-636x369-1.webp\" alt=\"chart, waterfall chart\" class=\"wp-image-9266 webp-format\" style=\"width:926px;height:auto\" data-orig-src=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Refresh-failed-tiles2-636x369-1.webp\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"customize-your-monitoring-charts\">Customize your monitoring charts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Monitoring charts in the Azure Preview Portal support a very rich set of customizations: you can change the timeline, type of chart, and add or remove metrics. These options are now more easily accessible via an explicit <strong>Edit<\/strong> button in the chart tile.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Edit-monitoring-charts-614x369-1.webp\" alt=\"graphical user interface\" class=\"wp-image-9268 webp-format\" style=\"width:910px;height:auto\" data-orig-src=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Edit-monitoring-charts-614x369-1.webp\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"easily-copy-text-from-the-essentials-panel\">Easily copy text from the Essentials panel<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When hovering a label or link in the <strong>Essentials<\/strong> panel a <strong>Copy<\/strong> icon is displayed. It also allows creating support tickets.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Help-support-hub-383x369-1.webp\" alt=\"graphical user interface, application\" class=\"wp-image-9272 webp-format\" style=\"width:676px;height:auto\" data-orig-src=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Help-support-hub-383x369-1.webp\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"customize-mode\">Customize mode<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We made a few tweaks to Customize mode based on what you told us. The two most notable ones are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"wp-block-list-item\">When customizing the start screen, clicking on its background exits customize mode<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"wp-block-list-item\">All the tile size names (large, small, hero, etc.) have been changed to their dimension in blocks (1&#215;1, 2&#215;4, 2&#215;2, etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Tile-sizes1-521x369-1.webp\" alt=\"graphical user interface, chart, application\" class=\"wp-image-9274 webp-format\" style=\"width:738px;height:auto\" data-orig-src=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Tile-sizes1-521x369-1.webp\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"improved-service-health-experience\">Improved Service Health experience<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Service Health<\/strong> dashboard (which is displayed as a map on the Startboard) has been improved to show health information about the resources that <strong>you<\/strong> <strong>own<\/strong> in the <strong>locations<\/strong> where they are <strong>deployed<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:48px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new Service Health tile can be resized to multiple sizes. Information is responsively rendered depending on the size of the tile:<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Service-Health-Tile1-636x369-1.webp\" alt=\"graphical user interface, application, website\" class=\"wp-image-9276 webp-format\" style=\"width:958px;height:auto\" data-orig-src=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Service-Health-Tile1-636x369-1.webp\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The updated Service Health tile can be found in the <strong>Help + support<\/strong> hub. If you want to have the new Services Health Dashboard on your Startboard just pin the <strong>Service health <\/strong>tile.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Pinning-Service-Health-Tile-385x369-1.webp\" alt=\"graphical user interface, application\" class=\"wp-image-9278 webp-format\" style=\"width:672px;height:auto\" data-orig-src=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/en-us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Pinning-Service-Health-Tile-385x369-1.webp\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"support-for-cloud-services\">Support for Cloud Services<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are happy to announce that we have added support for one of our top requested services within the preview portal: <strong>Cloud Services<\/strong>.
