This week, at the Build 2018 conference in Seattle, we are proud to announce a major new API version for Azure Media Services, along with new developer focused features, and updates to Video Indexer.<\/p>\n<h2>Media processing at scale: Public preview of the new Azure Media Services API (v3)<\/h2>\n<p>Starting at Build 2018, developers can begin working with the public preview of the new Azure Media Services API (v3). The new API provides a simplified development model, enables a better integration experience with key Azure services like Event Grid and Functions, includes two new media analysis capabilities, and provides a new set of SDKs for .NET, .NET Core, Java, Go, Python, and Node.js!<\/p>\n<p>We have created a set of preliminary documentation to get developers started quickly learning more about the new Azure Media Services preview release announcements.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/aka.ms\/AMSBuildGetStarted\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Get Started with v3<\/a> Public Preview: REST API, SDKs, Swagger Files.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/aka.ms\/AMSBuildSamples\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Code Samples<\/a> used at the Build 2018 session.<\/li>\n<li>Learn more about..\n<ul>\n<li>How the new <a href=\"https:\/\/aka.ms\/AMSBuildTransform\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Transform template<\/a> makes it easier to submit encoding and analysis Jobs.<\/li>\n<li>How to use the new <a href=\"https:\/\/aka.ms\/AMSBuildMediaCLI\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Azure CLI 2.0 module for Media Services<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>How <a href=\"https:\/\/aka.ms\/AMSBuildEventGrid\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Azure Media Services integrates with EventGrid<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>The new <a href=\"https:\/\/aka.ms\/AMSBuildAnalyzers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">video and audio analyzers built into Media Services<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Tutorial: <a href=\"https:\/\/aka.ms\/AMSBuildUploadEncode\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Upload, encode and stream videos with v3<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Media Intelligence: Updates to Video Indexer<\/h2>\n<p>A year ago we announced the revolutionary <a href=\"https:\/\/video.ai\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Video Indexer<\/a>, the AI-based media metadata extraction cloud service. We\u2019re beyond excited for the warm welcome that the service has received, as well as the interest and feedback from the users.<\/p>\n<p>This year at Build 2018, we\u2019re happy to share major updates to Video Indexer.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You can now connect Video Indexer to your Azure subscription to go beyond the cap of resources available on the trial experience.<\/li>\n<li>New version of the API based on feedback from the trial experience users.<\/li>\n<li>Video Indexer is available in three new regions: West US, North Europe, and East Asia.<\/li>\n<li>UX localized to six
