Today, downloads of the Quantum Development Kit has reached to over 100,000 as more developers start learning how to build applications for a quantum computer.<\/p>\n<p>The feedback, open-source contributions, and questions that we hear from the community encourage us to continually improve the Quantum Development Kit to make it approachable to an even wider set of quantum enthusiasts. We\u2019re excited to share that the March 2019 update makes jump-starting quantum projects in Q# easier than ever.<\/p>\n<p>Recently we added support for cross-platform Python host applications. That makes it easy to simulate Q# operations and functions from within Python. Learn more about <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.microsoft.com\/en-us\/azure\/quantum\/install-python-qdk?tabs=tabid-conda\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Q# and Python interoperability here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Today, we\u2019re bringing Q# programming directly to the world of <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.microsoft.com\/en-us\/azure\/quantum\/install-jupyter-qdk?tabs=tabid-conda\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jupyter Notebooks<\/a>. A favorite of academic settings, scientific labs, and online-based collaborative programming, Jupyter Notebooks offer in-place code execution\u2014now including Q# code\u2014along with instructions, notes, and other content. In addition to this update, we\u2019ve created a set of Jupyter Notebook samples, which you can use for writing your own Notebooks.<\/p>\n<p>The March update also includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/microsoft\/Quantum\/blob\/main\/samples\/getting-started\/intro-to-iqsharp\/Notebook.ipynb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">tutorial<\/a> on how to use IQ#, the new the Q# Jupyter kernel that makes it easy to write quantum application notebooks.<\/li>\n<li>A Jupyter Notebook sample for\u00a0Teleport.<\/li>\n<li>Integer adder arithmetic, available in the Quantum Canon Library.<\/li>\n<li>A Jupyter Notebook that <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/microsoft\/Quantum\/blob\/main\/samples\/arithmetic\/quantum-adders\/AdderExample.ipynb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">describes how to use the new integer adders<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Added ability to return from within a <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.microsoft.com\/en-us\/azure\/quantum\/user-guide\/language\/statements\/quantummemorymanagement#use-statement\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">using statement<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Other improvements based upon community feedback.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div id=\"attachment_2698\" style=\"width: 949px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\"
