Azure Virtual Machine Instance Sizes FAQ

You have got questions. We have got answers.

How do various instance sizes get billed?

Similar to Cloud Services, for Virtual Machines Standard Instances, all hours are converted into small instance hours when presented on your bill, as outlined in the following table.

Note: Between 11th January 2016 and 4th February 2016, we will be rolling out dedicated meters for A0, A2, A3 and A4. Once the rollout is complete, those sizes will no longer be billed in fractions or multiples of A1.
