At Microsoft Build 2020, we announced several advances to Azure Machine Learning in the following areas: ML for all skills, Enterprise grade MLOps and responsible ML.
Azure VM Image Builder service will be generally available Q4 2020
Unify and simplify your image-building process across Azure and Azure Stack using Azure VM Image Builder. It helps give you ease of use with automated image building pipeline, management for the images you’ve built, and DevOps integration with Azure DevOps and other DevOps management solutions you use. In addition, it enables Azure integration for governance and compliance with virtual network configuration and connectivity via enterprise networking options and authentication.
Firewall support for Azure Relay is now in preview
With new firewall support, now in preview, Azure Relay now offers the ability to restrict connectivity to only well-known IP addresses or IPv4 addresses in Classless Inter-Domain Routing (CIDR) ranges for improved security.
Azure Relay – Azure Private Link support for sender clients is now available in preview
With this preview release, traffic between your Relay sender client running inside your virtual network and Azure Relay uses the Microsoft backbone network providing network isolation.
Azure Private Link is now available for multiple new Azure services
Azure Private Link now supports multiple new Azure services in general availability and preview.
Azure Monitor for Containers is moving the health feature to limited preview
Target availability: Q2 2020
The health feature of Azure Monitor for Containers (currently in public preview) is moving to limited preview by the end of June 2020. This is being done to minimise the impact for your customers as improvements based on your feedback are implemented. There will be in-product notifications for customers to move to the private preview.
Azure Private Link is now generally available in US Government regions
Azure Private Link now includes multiple new services available in GA.
App Service is now an events publisher on Azure Event Grid (in preview)
App Service is now an events publisher with Event Grid, enabling developers to subscribe to events from their web apps or app service plans and act using Azure Functions, Logic Apps, webhooks and other services. The feature is available for Windows and Linux apps in all public regions.
Virtual machine (VM)-level disk bursting
Virtual machine (VM)-level disk bursting is a new feature that enables your workloads to handle unforeseen disk traffic spikes smoothly without the need to overprovision your virtual machine. The feature is now enabled on all of Azure Lsv2-series virtual machines.
Rules Engine for Azure Front Door Service is now in preview
Take advantage of new rules to further customise your Azure Front Door Service behaviour. Rules Engine on Azure Front Door Service brings your specific routing needs to the forefront of its application delivery experience, giving you more control over how you define and enforce what content gets served from where. Rules Engine empowers you to modify request and response headers, or dynamically override your existing route behaviour based on incoming requests.
Private Link is now available on Event Grid
Azure Event Grid now has Private Link integration for custom topics and event domains generally available in all Azure regions
Premium tier for Azure Data Lake Storage now in public preview
Azure Data Lake Storage has a new tier called Premium, offering significantly lower latencies and cost savings for transaction heavy workloads.
SCOM management pack for Azure SQL Managed Instance is now available
SCOM management pack for SQL Managed Instance is now available in preview. Use it to build hybrid monitoring solutions for your on-premises and data centre resources, along with monitoring SQL Managed Instances in the cloud.
Azure Blob storage – Blob Index now available in preview
Store multi-dimensional object attributes to describe your data objects for Azure Blob storage using Blob Index, now available in preview.
View and navigate through changes across multiple resources
Newly updated Change Analysis UI now supports viewing changes for all resources under selected subscriptions. The at-scale view helps with narrowing down the critical resources and changes to investigate how the applications and resource groups are organised regardless.
Azure Private Link for Azure Database for PostgreSQL now in Azure government regions
Azure Private Link support for Azure Database for PostgreSQL is now generally available in US Gov Arizona and US Gov Virginia Azure regions.
New Azure VMware Solution is now in preview
The new Azure VMware Solution is a first-party Microsoft Azure Compute service that enables customers to run VMware natively on Azure. The new service is directly operated, delivered and supported by Microsoft, and is endorsed by VMware through a direct cloud service provider partnership agreement.
