Azure Bot Service and Language Understanding (LUIS)

Microsoft Cognitive Services and Azure Bot Service enable you to augment the next generation of chatbots with the ability to see, hear, speak, understand and interpret needs using natural methods of communication. Language Understanding (LUIS) and Azure Bot Service are both now generally available on the Azure portal.
Azure Bot Service provides a scalable, integrated bot development and hosting environment for intelligent bots, and can reach customers across multiple channels. It’s Microsoft’s offering for building conversational applications that provides both hosting and the channel connectors first previewed in the Microsoft Bot Framework.
Azure Bot Service is now integrated into the Azure workflow, enabling improved support and monitoring capabilities in more regions on the trusted Azure ecosystem. In addition, Azure Bot Service now offers premium channels to communicate better with users and provide advanced customisation capabilities.
Language Understanding (LUIS) provides simple tools that enable you to build your own custom language models, allowing any application or bot to understand your commands and act accordingly.
Language Understanding (LUIS) now has an updated user interface with up to 500 intents (action identified in a sentence), 100 entities (information extracted to complete the task associated with the intent) and additional language features, and is now available in seven more regions. These new capabilities will help developers to achieve even more with Language Understanding.
