Announcing General Availability of Azure API Management Basic v2 and Standard v2 Tiers

We're thrilled to announce the General Availability of Azure API Management's newest pricing tiers – Basic v2 and Standard v2. The Azure API Management v2 pricing tiers represent a significant leap forward, offering a comprehensive range of capabilities tailored to projects of all sizes, from small-scale endeavors to large-scale enterprise applications. Importantly, these new v2 pricing tiers are available alongside our existing Azure API Management classic pricing tiers, ensuring continuity for users. It's worth noting that the Azure API Management classic pricing tiers remain actively supported and invested in.
GA: Azure API Management Developer Portal Unveils Enhanced Features for Increased Developer Productivity

The API Management developer portal is an automatically generated, fully customizable website with the documentation of your APIs. It's where API consumers can discover your APIs, learn how to use them, request access, and try them out. We recently improved the portal editor interface to boost your productivity and enhance the interactions with your favorite features and tools.

We are pleased to announce an update to the Azure API Center extension for Visual Studio Code, introducing new capabilities for API inventory and design. Additionally, we are unveiling a new API governance feature in API Center, enabling API linting and analysis based on customer-owned design guidelines.

HTTP/2 support in Azure API Management
HTTP/2 is a major revision of the HTTP protocol focused on performance and efficiency. Microsoft is working on enabling HTTP/2 support on the client-facing side of the gateway.
More flexibility to manage product subscriptions in Azure API Management
Currently, API Management provides users access to APIs based on product subscriptions owned by a user, and each subscription includes properties and a pair of API keys. Microsoft is working on expanding this approach to allow subscriptions and keys to be owned by a group of users, or even to not be associated with any users.
Use Azure Key Vault-managed client certificates in Azure API Management
Microsoft is working to expand the ability to use Azure Key Vault-managed SSL certificates for custom domain names in API Management to mutual certificate authentication between the API gateway and a back end system.
