Deploy an entry level Disk Pool

This template deploys a Disk Pool with 1 1TB existing Premium Disk in an existing subnet.

Parameter Name Description
diskPoolLocation Location of the Disk Pool
diskPoolSku Sku of the Disk Pool
diskPoolName Name of the Disk Pool
diskPoolAvailabilityZone Availability zone to deploy the Disk Pool
existingManagedDiskName Name of the managed disk (512 sector size) to create and export as an iSCSI LUN in the Disk Pool
targetName Name of the iSCSI Target
existingResourceGroupName Name of the resourceGroup for the existing virtual network and disk to deploy the Disk Pool.
existingVnetName Name of the existing virtual network to deploy the Disk Pool into.
existingSubnetName Name of the existing subnet to deploy the Disk Pool into.

Use the template


New-AzResourceGroup -Name <resource-group-name> -Location <resource-group-location> #use this command when you need to create a new resource group for your deployment
New-AzResourceGroupDeployment -ResourceGroupName <resource-group-name> -TemplateUri
