Create an Azure Firewall with Availability Zones

This template creates an Azure Firewall with Availability Zones and any number of Public IPs in a virtual network and sets up 1 sample application rule and 1 sample network rule

Parameter Name Description
virtualNetworkName Virtual network name
vnetAddressPrefix Virtual network address range
azureFirewallSubnetAddressPrefix AzureFirewallSubnet prefix
firewallName Azure Firewall name
numberOfPublicIPAddresses Number of public IP addresses
publicIPNamePrefix Public IP address name prefix - will be auto suffixed with a number (e.g. publicIP1)
location Location for all resources. Only certain regions support zones.
availabilityZones Zone numbers e.g. 1,2,3.

Use the template


New-AzResourceGroup -Name <resource-group-name> -Location <resource-group-location> #use this command when you need to create a new resource group for your deployment
New-AzResourceGroupDeployment -ResourceGroupName <resource-group-name> -TemplateUri
