Azure Virtual Machine instance sizes FAQs

You’ve got questions. We’ve got answers.

How are various instance sizes billed?

Similar to Cloud Services, for Virtual Machines Standard Instances, all hours are converted into small instance hours when presented on your bill, as outlined in the following table.

Note: Between 11 January 2016 and 4 February 2016, we will be rolling out dedicated meters for A0, A2, A3 and A4. Once the rollout is complete, those sizes will no longer be billed in fractions or multiples of A1.
