Domain names must only use the letters a to z (not case sensitive) and numbers 0 to 9. Additionally, the length of the domain name and the admin username cannot be more than 64 characters long.

Please note that, because the Azure Government Cloud is logically isolated, the chosen domain must be unique across the onmicrosoft.com namespace. As such, the domain name must be different to any existing O365, Azure Global or other cloud offering you may have. This includes any Azure Gov. Preview or Trial domains.
