Senior Program Manager, Azure Messaging

After ten months of rigorous testing and service improvements the Service Bus team is making Premium Messaging generally available as of July 15, 2016. The service was designed for customers who want their own dedicated resources, need scalability as their workload grows and seek reliability that assures them their messages will be processed in a predictable amount of time.

While in preview, Premium Messaging developed a fantastic base of early adopters (financial services companies, pizza chains, insurance providers, media companies, and more). We also have other Microsoft services relying on us including Dynamics CRM, Bing Maps, and analytics services.

Premium Messaging has also shown strong monthly growth with traffic volume nearly surpassing one billion operations per day. The general availability of Premium Messaging truly delivers on a state of the art messaging platform for those who want reliability, high throughput and an environment to call their own.

We increased message size to 1MB to give messaging size more flexibility compared to standard messaging while maintaining other feature parity with the standard messaging plan. And, as of today, Premium Messaging will be available in seven regions including: Southeast Asia, East Asia, West Europe, North Europe, Central US, West US, and East US. We plan to expand into other regions based on customer demand.

The Premium tier buys you peace of mind knowing your costs can be easily estimated (fixed daily rate), your workload will be processed when you need it to be and that your data is in safe hands. If you want a messaging service you can call your own, and meet your performance demands, then start creating today.

Enjoy a 50% discount on services through August 31, 2016, and get an MU or two or four to call your own! Learn more about pricing and the features offered on the Service Bus pricing page.
