Azure Database for PostgreSQL—New updates now generally available
PostgreSQL major version 10 is now generally available on Azure Database for PostgreSQL. Features in this version include improved query parallelism and declarative table partitioning.
Azure Batch service—low priority Azure Virtual Machines (VMs)
Low-priority VMs are now available at a large discount compared to regular on-demand VMs.
Azure Active Directory B2C—new configuration option
Azure Active Directory B2C has added new capabilities via two different configuration options. These new capabilities are now in preview.
Azure Service Fabric support for Docker Compose
Docker uses the docker-compose.yml file for defining multi-container applications. To make it easy for customers familiar with Docker to orchestrate existing container applications on Service Fabric, we will include preview support for Docker Compose natively in the platform.
Synonyms for Azure Search
Support for synonyms in Azure Search, soon to be in preview, is one of our most requested features on UserVoice. Synonyms functionality will allows for Azure Search to not only return results that match the query terms that were typed into the search box, but also return results that match synonyms of the query terms.
Xamarin Live Player
We'll soon announce new functionality in preview for Visual Studio and Visual Studio for Mac with Xamarin Live Player, paired with an app available for iOS and Android. This will help developers to start instantly developing and testing their apps.
Visual Studio App Center feature updates
New features have been added to Visual Studio App Center that empower developers to ship mobile apps more frequently, at higher-quality, and with greater confidence.

We're pleased to announce updates to the Bot Framework that will provide developers with more tools and streamlined integration to other services for developing bots.
Microsoft Cognitive Services—Custom Vision Service
Custom Vision Service will soon be available in public preview. It's a new, easy-to-use, customizable web service that will learn to recognize specific content in imagery, powered by state-of-the-art machine-learning neural networks that become smarter with training.
Microsoft Cognitive Services—Video Indexer
Video Indexer will soon be available free in preview. This new service will represent one of the industry’s most comprehensive video AI services.
Microsoft Cognitive Services—Custom Decision Service
Custom Decision Service will soon be available in preview. This new service will help you create intelligent systems with a cloud-based contextual decision-making API that will adapt with experience.
Microsoft Cognitive Services—Bing Custom Search
Bing Custom Search, soon to be in preview, will let you create a highly-customized web search experience that will deliver better and more relevant results through a commercial grade service. Featuring a straightforward user interface, Bing Custom Search will enable you to create your own web search engine without a line of code.
Azure IoT Edge now generally available
Azure IoT Edge, a fully managed service that delivers cloud intelligence locally by deploying and running artificial intelligence (AI), Azure services, and custom logic directly on cross-platform IoT devices, is now generally available.
