Create a VM from a EfficientIP VHD

This template creates a VM from a EfficientIP VHD and let you connect it to an existing VNET that can reside in another Resource Group then the virtual machine

Parameter Name Description
vmName Name of the VM
osType Type of OS on the existing vhd
osDiskVhdUri URI of the existing VHD in ARM standard or premium storage
vmSize Size of the VM
vmDiskSizeGB Diskspace size of the VM
existingVirtualNetworkResourceGroup Name of the existing VNET resource group
existingVirtualNetworkName Name of the existing VNET
subnetName Name of the subnet in the virtual network you want to use
existingSecurityGroupName Name of the network Security Group that needs to be assocated to virtual NIC.
dnsNameForPublicIP Unique DNS Name for the Public IP used to access the Virtual Machine.
location Location for all resources.

Use the template


New-AzResourceGroup -Name <resource-group-name> -Location <resource-group-location> #use this command when you need to create a new resource group for your deployment
