We’re always looking for ways to improve the management and operational experiences of DocumentDB, Azure’s NoSQL document database service.  Today we’re happy to announce several new storage metrics are available in the Azure preview portal and programmatically via the Microsoft Azure Insights Library. Specifically, we’ve added the following perf metrics:

  • Data Size
  • Index Size
  • Storage Capacity
  • Available Capacity

You can easily add these metrics to your portal experience by clicking the edit hyperlink on an existing DocumentDB metrics part or by right-clicking on an existing DocumentDB metrics part, then clicking “Edit Chart.”
