General availability: Scaling across tiers in Azure Database for PostgreSQL

Azure Database for PostgreSQL now supports these capabilities in all available regions:

• Scaling between hardware generations within services tiers
• Scaling between general-purpose and memory-optimized service tiers

The ability to scale across service tiers gives you more flexibility in adjusting the resources available to your database server for dynamically changing workloads. Scaling between hardware generations enables you to take advantage of the newer hardware generation for servers previously created in the older hardware generation.
