Folks, we’ve traditionally bylined our blog posts as “Windows Azure Team”.  This has kept the team creating these blog posts behind the curtains. However, we think it would be valuable for our readers to get to know the Windows Azure team and what we do, so we’re going to start putting names to most of the posts that appear here. My name is Himanshu Kumar Singh and I’ll be one of the primary authors and editors of this blog moving forward.

A little about me:  I’ve been focused on Windows Azure platform since we started in 2008 and I’m currently a Senior Product Manager on the Windows Azure Marketing team. Part of my job is to drive outbound marketing activities, including managing the Windows Azure team blog. My past experience includes some dabbling in technology architecture, IT strategy consulting, private cloud deployment and management, as well as technology marketing and sales, among other things. I have an MBA from Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, and did my B.E. (Honors) from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

We will continue to share a broad range of information on this blog, from technical content and how-to articles, to business and product updates, with posts from our team of Windows Azure experts. We will cover ground from key announcements, new features and releases, to latest resources and customer and partner profiles.  My posts will typically cover Windows Azure platform overall, with emphasis on sharing news, resources and tools to help you get started or dig deeper, and know about the latest announcements and updates we make.

I’d love to hear from you about the type of content you’d like to see on the blog, examples of how you are using Windows Azure, and anything else you’d like to share.  Please post a comment below with your thoughts and ideas. We look forward to hearing from you!
