The Azure Cosmos DB API for MongoDB now supports MongoDB wire protocol version 6 and server version 3.6. All new accounts provisioned using the Azure portal will have the option to provision with server version 3.6.

Azure Cosmos DB has several new .NET SDK features to improve the experience of developers on Azure Cosmos DB. In the .NET V3 SDK, developers can now use the new batch capability to do transactional batch of operations across one partition key on their Azure Cosmos DB data, which previously required a stored procedure.
Management experience updates for Azure Cosmos DB are now available
Azure Cosmos DB has two important updates that improve the management experience for Azure Cosmos DB.
New analytics storage for Azure Cosmos DB is now in preview
Azure Cosmos DB containers are now internally backed by two storage engines—a transactional storage engine and a new analytical storage engine. Both the storage engines are log-structured and write-optimized for blazing fast updates.
Autopilot mode for provisioned throughput is now in preview
With Autopilot mode, users select a throughput tier and Azure Cosmos DB will automatically scale RU/s up and down as needed to match capacity with demand.
