Microsoft Windows takes developers across devices and into the cloud

Check out the Windows Azure Overview session at Build 2012 Conference as Scott Guthrie demonstrates how to quickly build and deploy applications using the new Windows Azure features and services including Windows Azure Web Sites, Virtual Machines, and new developer tools and SDKs.

Windows Azure Store

Now in preview, the Windows Azure Store provides developers with third party developer services (add-ons) and data sets that complement and extend core Windows Azure services. These add-ons and data sets are accessed and managed directly from the developer portal, making discovery, billing, and management completely integrated with the Windows Azure management experience. During preview, the Windows Azure Store is only available in the United States. The Windows Azure store allows you to:

  1. Choose from popular applications services including: AppDynamics (monitoring and scaling as a service), MongoLab (mongoDB as a service), SendGrid (email delivery as a service) and more.
  2. Find the data your app needs from data providers like: Dun & Bradstreet (marketing information lookup), Loqate (Worldwide address verification and cleansing service), StrikeIron (Phone number verification service; Sales and use tax rates lookup service), and more.
  3. Connect and manage it all from the developer portal: The integrated store UI makes it easy to find, buy, manage the services and data you need directly from the portal. Try the Windows Azure Store today.

Realize Agility and Scalability with MongoDB

MongoDB is an open-source NoSQL database helping tens of thousands of users quickly and easily code, scale, and operate applications. MongoDB bridges the gap between RDBMS and key-value stores -- instead of storing data in tables and rows, MongoDB stores data in JSON documents with dynamic schemas. Together, MongoDB and Azure provide customers the tools to build limitlessly scalable applications in the cloud.
