Ubuntu Mate Desktop VM with VSCode

This template allows you to deploy a simple Linux VM using a few different options for the Ubuntu version, using the latest patched version. This will deploy a A1 size VM in the resource group location and return the FQDN of the VM.

Parameters

Parameter Name Description
vmName The name of the Virtual Machine
adminUsername User name for the Virtual Machine.
vmSize The size of the virtual machines used when provisioning
ubuntuOSVersion The Ubuntu version for the VM. This will pick a fully patched image of this given Ubuntu version. Allowed values: 12.04.5-LTS, 14.04.5-LTS, 15.10.
location Location for all resources.
authenticationType Type of authentication to use on the Virtual Machine. SSH key is recommended.
adminPasswordOrKey SSH Key or password for the Virtual Machine. SSH key is recommended.
_artifactsLocation The base URI where artifacts required by this template are located. When the template is deployed using the accompanying scripts, a private location in the subscription will be used and this value will be automatically generated.
_artifactsLocationSasToken The sasToken required to access _artifactsLocation. When the template is deployed using the accompanying scripts, a sasToken will be automatically generated.
