Azure CLI support for Azure HDInsight is now available

Azure CLI support for Azure HDInsight is now generally available. This enables administrators to easily manage their HDInsight clusters using simple Azure CLI commands. Administrators can use Azure CLI to automate HDInsight cluster creation, scale up/down and deletion operations, manage script actions and applications, and understand the capacity usage.
